Knight’s Keep Slot Machine
Over the years WMS Gaming has made a name for itself by developing a series of slot games for their land casino properties. Many of these games broke the mold for land casinos, as the unique six reel sideways pyramid structure was not normally seen in land establishments before WMS introduced them.
The Knight’s Keep Slot Machine by WMS is a prime example of this unique style of game. The title has a sideways pyramid set of reels and 192 paylines, both of which you will not find through any other developers. The game does this through the WMS Bluebird2 and BluebirdxD platforms that many land casinos throughout the world have for their WMS slots.
That is all well and good, but the betting world has largely begun moving a sizable portion of their land games to the online world. WMS is one of the groups that has taken ahold of the digital reigns and begun porting their slot series to the online world, and Knight’s Keep is one of the titles that is making the Transition.
Knight’s Keep is an excellent digital recreation of the original cabinet game, bringing high definition 3D graphics, crisp animations, and the luscious sound that made the original game such a hit among punters.
The game itself is a six reel, 192 payline video slot that features a medieval theme, containing knights, kings, jesters, scepters, queens, crows, and a variety of card suit symbols. The game’s pyramid setup is very good, bringing a unique look to players and a breathing life into a genre that has many times been held stagnant. Feature wise the game includes Bonus Reels, 5, 12, or 25 paylines that are set off during when you unveil 3, 4, or 5 Scatter Symbols on the reels. The game also has a feature during the Free Spins round that will change to one symbol randomly during the free spin. What that means to the player is that the bonus rounds can potentially pay off in a big way.
During my test sessions with Knight’s Keep I found that the game doesn’t pay off quite as quickly as you may imagine. Even with all of the paylines, noteworthy wins were few and far between, but when the game does get a good win, watch out! The best mode for me was obviously the Free Spins round, which really got me some huge wins. While I was only able to get the 25 spins once, the 12 and 5 free spins did pop up much more frequently, and I still got good results.
While I am not a big fan of medieval themes, I did find that the game does really look nice and the theme was very well done. The animations in the game are very well done and I liked seeing things build up in the way they did. If you have ever spun the reels on a WMS slot in a land casino and want to bring that experience to your home via online casinos, you should give the Knight’s Keep slot a spin.
