A special kind of doctor
Dr Lovemore starts off from a rather original premise that will surprise many players, to say the least.
The entire game screen is brightly painted in blue and yellow, unlike any consultation room you have ever visited. The pastel colour scheme of the game makes it stand out quite a bit from the rest of the market, but the real difference lies in the reel symbols as we will figure out later on in this review.
With pink hearts all over, Dr Lovemore sets the mood right from the start. You will either love it or hate it, in any case the choice is all yours.
How to play
Dr Lovemore might have an original universe, but the gameplay remains quite classic and familiar to most players.
The five spinning reels of the game contain three symbols each, with a total of 20 available paylines running across the screen. To win, you need to line up symbol combinations on activated paylines. Head over to the command bar at the bottom of the game screen to adjust your game settings before starting up the reels. The different switches and buttons will let you modify your bet per line, the number of activated paylines and the coin value. Click Spin when you feel ready and your turn will begin.
You can also try to play in Autoplay mode, where the reels spin automatically while your bet is placed over and over again according to the settings you have defined. You can come back to the regular play mode at any time, but remember that a bigger wager is both a larger risk and the promise of larger potential wins in the future at the same time.
The game is one
The paytable of Dr Lovemore contains a variety of icons entirely dedicated to romance and seduction, up to a certain point.
We begin with a selection of five different Condoms, with different flavours such as Cherry, Orange, Banana, Kiwi and Strawberry. While these icons might not be classy or worth a lot of gold, they appear frequently on the reels to compensate for all this.
The Bouquet, Perfume, Champagne and Male-Female Signs are the remaining basic symbols on the paytable. Now things get a little more interesting in terms of cash rewards, so it might be a good idea to pay close attention during the game and try to line up as many of these more valuable symbols as you can.
Final moves
Dr Lovemore, like the vast majority of modern video slot games, features an array of Bonus symbols to spice up the game a little. Dr Lovemore himself, for instance, shows up as a Scatter symbol. No need to line those up on paylines, you can start winning regardless of their position on the screen.
The Wild Number Plate icon can replace any basic symbol as listed before, and it is also the single most valuable symbol of the entire game. One more reason to keep an eye out for it.
Lastly, the pink Underpants can be found on reels 1 and 5. Two of them on screen give 20 Free Spins to the lucky player, with all wins double throughout. Furthermore, you can always trigger more free games at any times in the exact same fashion.
Sleazy pickings
Dr Lovemore is certainly not very beautiful to look at, nor is it a classy slot game to begin with. But it can pay bit cash rewards, and the Free Spins are relatively easy to trigger with a little perseverance.
