Slot – Big Bot Crew

Big Bot Crew Slot

The Big Bot Crew – Matsuo, Danielle and Joaquin – is a gang of tech wizards and geeks who are building tomorrow’s robots on the outskirts of a sprawling metropolis. Their latest model, the Bigbot, is an all-purpose humanoid whose mission is to help players unlock huge wins of up to 5,000x their stake. Acting as the wild symbol, it will appear stacked, nudge into full view and award respins.

Quickspin is a relatively young but top-class game studio from Stockholm, Sweden. Founded in 2012 by former NetEnt executives, it set out to create high-quality video slots that excite players around the world with state-of-the-art graphics and big win potential. Today, Quickspin is owned by industry giant Playtech, who acquired the company in 2016. Popular slots such as Volcano Riches, Sticky Bandits, Spinions and Dwarfs Gone Wild are proof of the team’s creative talent. Big Bot Crew is yet another superb addition to Quickspin’s portfolio, offering a huge top win of 5,000x the bet.

The Big Bot Reels

The crew of tech wizards will unleash their all-purpose humanoid Bigbot on five reels, four rows and 40 fixed paylines. The game window is revealed after the Bigbot opens the shutter gate to the crew’s robot studio in the midst of an Asian city suburb. Intricate pay symbols, crisp graphics and animations are naturally top-standard, as one would expect from a crew of tech geeks. A catchy electronic soundtrack completes a well-designed video slot.

A range of four gear-wheels are the low-value symbols while two futuristic work robots are on the medium level. The premium symbols are the three members of the Big Bot Crew – Joaquin, Danielle and Matsuo. The top and wild symbol is the Bigbot himself appearing fully stacked at all times. Arc reactors that power the Bigbot are the bonus symbols with three need on the middle reels to trigger the free spins round.

The Tech Numbers and Stats

The slot is naturally designed in the latest HTML5 standard, making it available for play on tablet, mobile and desktop across all OS platforms. The medium-to-high-variance game comes with an RTP of 96.51%. Bet sizes start at low-roller-friendly 0.20 coins for 40 paylines, peaking at 100 coins. The maximum win in a single spin is 400x your stake for a full screen of stacked Bigbot symbols. However, that can increase in free spins to a huge 5,000x your stake when multiple Bigbots appear on the reels during the round.

The Big Bot Special Show

The Bigbot is the wild symbol on this slot, and it can land in stacks of up to four reel positions, substituting for all symbols except scatters. It appears in the base game on the middle reels only, and on all reels in the respins or free spins. Two features are attributed to the robot that can easily lead to mega and super mega wins.

First, the Mystery Nudge is triggered when a minimum of two Bigbot symbols land at least in partial view on the reels in one spin. Those in partial view will randomly nudge up or down to cover the entire reel and trigger the Bigbot respins.

The second feature, the Bigbot Respins, is activated when a minimum of two Bigbots land directly in full view on a spin, or are nudged through the Mystery Nudge feature. The amount of respins is equal to the number of Bigbots in full view on the triggering spin. At the beginning of each respin, the Bigbots will take off and land again on randomly highlighted reels.

Any further Bigbot symbol in full view will add one respin. A partial Bigbot will randomly nudge on a respin. When it does, it will also add one respin. Pays are awarded after every respin. The feature ends when all respins have been played.

Theoretically, all five reels can be filled with fully stacked Bigbots, leading to guaranteed massive wins. The most desirable sequence is when three Bigbots land in one spin, awarding three respins. Hitting another two on the first respin will create a full screen of Bigbot symbols, paying 400x the initial stake. It will also award an additional two respins, increasing the total number of respins to five. The now remaining four respins will each pay the same amount again. This will lead to a total win of that’s five times 400x the stake, amounting to 2,000x your bet.

The Big Bot Free Spins

A minimum of three bonus scatters in one spin will trigger eight free spins which cannot be retriggered. The Bigbot now appears on all reels, and it will always nudge when it appears only partially on any reel in a free spin. Every fully stacked Bigbot landing on a free spin will award one additional free spin. Partial Bigbots will first nudge to cover the reel before adding one free spin, raising the maximum amount of free spins in one round to 13. Any fully stacked Bigbot symbols will remain on the reels for the duration of the free spins, moving randomly to a different reel on every free spin.

If you like slots with a futuristic theme and robots on the reels, you could also try Robo Jack from Microgaming or Robocop from Playtech. A quirky, fun slot with a twisted pay mechanic is Robo Smash from iSoftbet.

Our Geeky Verdict

Admittedly, we all are some sort of tech geek today, albeit not as well-versed as the three robot-building wizards on this slot. Smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices have transformed us into photographers, movie makers and play enthusiasts for any sort of games, which of course include slots.

We’ve found Big Bot Crew to be a very likable slot game. The features happen often enough to avoid those frustrating long waits, and the win potential of 5,000x the stake is certainly sufficient for any avid slots fan.
