I can’t think of any things on the bucket list that I think would be more exciting than attending the big carnival in Rio de Janeiro, of all the street festivals of the world, excepting possibly Mardi Gras, it has to be the biggest and best known.

Theme
Let’s get it out of the way, they used playing card symbols for the low pay icons on the game, shame on them, they have, however, made up for it with the higher paying symbols which are an array of Brazilian carnival dancers in fabulous realistic costumes.
One in particular is bound to catch your eye, as she is a stacked symbol filling a whole reel, if you can match her up with the games fixed wild symbol, represented by the game logo, you may be in for a really crazy dancing experience.
The music and graphics on the game aren’t the big draw but they are solid, with a vibrant South American beat playing in the background and a decent selection of big win animations and realistically drawn characters to keep you entertained.
Gameplay and Features
Progressive jackpots are the dream of many a slot player, and this game features no less than five of them which you can trigger by three of more of the reels showing up highlighted in green, those prizes can get pretty big and would be a good enough reason for many a player to visit Rio virtually even without other incentives.
One thing which stands out on Dancing in Rio is the base game play, unlike some WMS titles such as Frozen Inferno where the cash wins are mainly in the bonus rounds, even in normal game play you will find decent wins to be had due to the sheer amount of wilds in play.
That isn’t to say the bonus round is without merit, far from it, line up three scatters for your initial 10 free spins, more if there is an additional number on the scatter symbol, and here is where the party gets wild. Not only can the free spins be potentially re-triggered, in our experience, they frequently are.

Summary
Some games rely on a good theme, some on good base gameplay action and others still on bonus features, it seems that with Dancing in Rio WMS have tried to have all three areas active on one game. It all works rather well, and we find ourselves drawn to this machine every time we are on the casino floor, whilst the volatility can be a little painful on a cold streak, if you run hot, this will be a carnival dancing experience to remember!
