The Spring Championship of Online Poker is in full swing at PokerStars, offering players a wealth of online tournament options. For poker player Simon Mattsson, the events have been fruitful. The player just recently won not one event, but two, claiming SCOOP victory in a PKO event as well as an NLO8 event. Known as C. Darwin2 online, Mattsson was able to defeat two different fields to claim the wins.

$1,050 8-Max Turbo PKO Win

On April 13, PokerStars hosted several events including the SCOOP 46 High event, the NLHE 8-Max, Turbo, Progressive KO. The event had a buy-in of $1,050 and saw 461 players enter. This pushed the advertised $350,000 prize pool guarantee to a whopping $461,000.

Because bounties were included, players were able to claim not only the prize money for finishing in a certain position but also their bounty earnings for knocking players out of the competition. In this event, Mattsson would make his way to the heads-up round to take on Tauan “kylix42” Naves.

The two would go head-to-head for a bit before Mattsson would claim the first-place finish. He earned $74,465 for the win and his first SCOOP title of the day.

The second win for Mattsson came during the NLO8 event. The online poker tournament had a buy-in of $530 and featured a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool. With 262 players competing, the prize pool increased to $131,000. Mattsson cut a heads-up deal and ended up with $21,166 in prize money and the title win.

The SCOOP continues now with several events on the schedule. There is plenty of action for players to take part in. The series runs through April 28 and features options for every player. The buy-ins range from $2.20 to $25,000, making it easy for players of every bankroll to compete.

The series features six Main Events, which gives players an opportunity to compete in more than one. The lowest price points for the Main Events are $109. There is a Pot-Limit Omaha 6-Max Main Event and a No-Limit Hold’em 8-Max Main Event. Both are sectioned in the Low area of the series.

The Omaha event has a lower guaranteed prize pool of $350,000. The NLH event has a much higher $3 million prize pool. Both have the same buy-in, an affordable $109.
