This past Sunday, GGPoker hosted the GGMasters High Rollers online poker event. A total of 996 players took part, posting the $1,050 buy-in to try and nap the title and of course, the first-place prize money. In the end, it was Shawn Daniels who outlasted the field, defeating online player DFdS123 in heads-up play.

Details of the Event

From the start, GGPoker did not see enough players register for the event, so there was a small overlay the poker room had to pay. For the event, a total of 162 players would cash out, with each player securing at least a four-figure payday.

Once the final table got started, there were nine players at the felt. Two players would bust early, followed by a few more, before the event narrowed down to just Daniels and DFdS123. The two players would go head-to-head for a bit before Daniels would pull ahead and eventually walk away with the win.

At the same time as the GGMasters High Rollers event, the online poker site was also offering up WSOP Circuit action. When May first began, GGPoker kicked off the 2021 World Series of Poker Super Circuit Online.

Players have through May 30 to take part in WSOP Circuit action. There is a total of $100 million in guaranteed prize money up for grabs along with 20 Circuit rings. In a unique twist, the online poker room decided to host cash game leaderboards and offer two rings in this manner. There is a leaderboard for No-Limit Hold’em and one for Pot-Limit Omaha/Pot-Limit Omaha 5.

The top nine of each leaderboard will be able to participate in a final table event where the winner takes home a gold ring. The leaderboards are a great way to take part in the ring action while also competing in events.

The WSOPC continues this week at GGPoker with several more tournament options. Event #8 begins on Tuesday, the $800 Deepstack No Limit Hold’em Championship. This event offers a $1 million prize pool. On Saturday, Event #9 takes place, the Bounty Deepstack No Limit Hold’em tournament. This event has a buy-in of $525 and features a $500,000 prize pool.

Additional events coming up include the $400 Colossus and the $400 Plossus. The first event offers up $2.5 million in prize money while the second provides slightly less at $1 million.
