Oryx Gaming debuts in Swiss market via Grand Casino Luzern content deal for mycasino.ch

Slovenian provider of omni-channel turnkey solutions, Oryx Gaming, has made its debut in Switzerland’s newly regulated iGaming market after signing a content agreement with Grand Casino Luzern online brand mycasino.ch.

The new partnership is a continuation of the Bragg Gaming Group (TSXV:BRAG) brand’s growth strategy into global regulated jurisdictions, including Switzerland where Grand Casino Luzern is the largest online operator. Visitors to the domain will now have access to premium titles from German online casino games developer Gamomat, including Crystal Ball, Fancy Fruits and the Ancient Egypt-themed title, Ramses Book.

Grand Casino Luzern makes a perfect partner for us.”

Grand Casino Luzern is the second casino in the Central European country to launch an online gaming domain under the mycasino.ch brand, following Grand Casino Baden‘s rollout of an online casino service, Jackpots.ch, in August 2019. Switzerland’s igaming market came into effect on July 1, 2019, and permits only land-based casinos to secure licenses.

The content deal with casino.ch represents the first with a Swiss operator following Oryx’s ISO/IEC 27001 certification earlier in July this year. The certification, which is an information security standard published by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), is used as a regulation benchmark in Switzerland.

Market presence:

Managing Director for Oryx Gaming, Matevž Mazij, commented on the new collaboration in a company press release, saying…

“The Swiss online market is one that we have had an eye on since the new legislation entered into force in 2019 and we are thrilled to finally make our debut.

“Grand Casino Luzern makes a perfect partner for us as one of the most established operators in the market with a strong online brand and we look forward to working together to build our presence in the country.”

Strong start:

According to the latest official figures from Swiss gambling regulator Eidgenössische Spielbankenkommission (ESBK), online gaming licenses generated CHF23.5m (£19.48m) in the first partial year of operations, while mycasino.ch contributed CHF8.9, (£7.38m) in revenue in 2019.

Also commenting on the content deal, Chief Executive Officer for Grand Casino Luzern, Wolfgang Bliem, said…

“We have had a strong start to our online operations and are constantly looking for fresh and exciting content to enhance the experience for our growing customer base. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with ORYX moving forward. Our main objective is to provide our Swiss players with pure entertainment at the highest level, and we believe ORYX’s portfolio of games can help us achieve just that.

SoftSwiss deal:

The agreement closely follows Oryx’s content deal with Curaçao-based gambling software developer SoftSwiss, which initially integrates its proprietary titles and content from RGS studio partners Kalamba Games, Golden Hero, Givme Games, and Gamomat, with games from Aracdem, Peter & Sons, and CandleBets to follow.
